KAL Radio has promoted Siva Chidambaram to the role of chief operating officer, entrusting him with the responsibility of driving growth across its Suryan FM and RED FM South radio networks.
In his new role, Chidambaram will oversee business performance, market expansion, innovation and new business opportunities across the two brands.
Chidambaram brings nearly three decades of experience spanning broadcasting, media, advertising and sports. Before his elevation, he served as vice president at Suryan FM. He also held the position of project head and vice president – sponsorship and marketing for SunRisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League and SunRisers Eastern Cape in South Africa's SA20 league.
His appointment comes as KAL Radio looks to strengthen its presence in the southern radio market and expand its business across platforms.
Meanwhile, Nisha Narayanan will continue to lead South Asia FM, overseeing the network's strategic direction, business expansion, content strategy and brand initiatives.
