Havas Life has appointed João Camacho as Chief Creative Officer for India & the Middle East, strengthening the network’s creative leadership.
Based in Mumbai, Camacho will oversee creative responsibilities across India and the Middle East. He will report to Eric Weisberg, Global Chief Creative Officer at Havas Health, and Dorelle Kulkarni, Managing Director, Havas Life Mumbai.
Camacho brings more than two decades of global experience in healthcare communications, having held leadership roles across Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Middle East. Most recently, he was with Publicis Groupe in Dubai, where he partnered with leading pharmaceutical and health organisations to launch medical treatments, build disease-awareness platforms and deliver patient-first communications across markets.
His work has been recognised at several international award platforms, including New York Festivals and Cannes Lions, where he has also served as a jury member for Cannes Lions Health, alongside juries at LIA Awards, CLIO Health, LYNX Health, Saniss Awards and The One Show.
Charles Houdoux, Global Chief Client Officer, Havas Health and CEO APAC-LATAM, added that Camacho’s appointment reflects the network’s ambition to build world-class creative leadership locally while staying closely aligned with its global vision.
Kulkarni noted, “As client expectations evolve beyond communication to true partnership spanning culture, patients, physicians, regulation and a rapidly changing healthcare landscape, João’s mix of strategic thinking, empathy and creativity makes him ideally suited for this role.”
The appointment comes amid strong global momentum for Havas Health and Havas Life, underscored recently at CES 2026, where Havas unveiled AVA, a global large language model portal built on its Converged.AI operating system to accelerate creative and strategic collaboration across the network.
Yannick Bolloré, Chairman and CEO of Havas, reiterated the Group’s commitment to combining human ingenuity with advanced AI to deliver more meaningful outcomes for clients worldwide.
Speaking on his new role, Camacho said, “Leading creative across India and the Middle East — a region buzzing with energy, innovation and possibility — is both thrilling and humbling. I look forward to shaping campaigns that inspire, connect and make a real difference.”
