B Sridhar, Executive Vice President – Media at Innocean India, has announced his decision to step away from his media career, bringing to an end more than 30 years in the advertising and communications industry. His exit marks the conclusion of a long professional journey defined by leadership roles across major agencies and sustained engagements with some of the country’s most prominent advertisers.
Stints across leading agencies and auto majors
Over the years, Sridhar has worked with several leading advertising and media agencies, including Mudra, GroupM, Initiative and Innocean India. His association with Innocean was spread across two separate stints, together spanning nearly 17 years. During his first tenure at the agency, he headed the media mandate for Hyundai, while in his later stint he was responsible for overseeing media operations for Kia in India.
Experience with marquee brands
Sridhar’s career portfolio includes working on media mandates for a wide range of high-profile brands such as Samsung, Nestlé, Pepsi Foods and Microsoft, among others. Known for building long-term client relationships, his work has been closely linked to large-scale media responsibilities within India’s advertising ecosystem.
Turning focus towards personal pursuits
Following his exit from corporate life, Sridhar plans to dedicate more time to personal interests and pursuits. A long-time Business Quiz Master at various forums, he intends to deepen his involvement in this space. He is also preparing to take up motivational speaking, drawing inspiration from his experience as a long-distance runner to explore themes of discipline, endurance and management.
