Haleon has appointed Kedar Lele as President for the India subcontinent, with effect from January 2026, marking a key leadership transition for the consumer healthcare company in one of its fastest-growing markets.

Lele will also become a member of the Haleon Executive Team (HET), the company’s global leadership council, a move aimed at strengthening strategic alignment across markets under its “win as one” approach. He takes over from Navneet Saluja, general manager for India subcontinent, who retired in October 2025.

Veteran FMCG leader to steer India operations

Lele brings more than 25 years of professional experience spanning fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), advertising, digital innovation and the automotive sector.

He joins Haleon from Castrol India, where he served as managing director. Prior to that, he spent nearly two decades at Hindustan Unilever, holding several senior leadership roles, including executive director for sales and customer development for South Asia, as well as chairman and managing director of Unilever Bangladesh.

Academic background and board roles

Lele holds an MBA in strategic marketing and operations from the Indian School of Business and a postgraduate diploma in marketing communications from MICA.

In addition to his corporate leadership roles, he currently serves on the board of TVS Automobile Solutions. He has also previously served as vice president at the Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Bangladesh.

Growth mandate aligned with Haleon’s 2030 vision

In his new role, Lele will be responsible for strengthening Haleon’s leadership position in India while supporting the company’s long-term global ambitions.

As President for the India subcontinent, he will lead efforts to advance Haleon’s target of reaching one billion more consumers by 2030 and further its stated purpose of delivering “better everyday health with humanity.”
