GTPL Broadband appoints Vivek Raina as CEO to lead next phase of growth

GTPL Broadband Pvt. Ltd. has appointed Vivek Raina as its Chief Executive Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in India's broadband market.

Raina joins GTPL Broadband from Excitel Broadband, where he served as Co-Founder and CEO. With over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and broadband industry, he brings expertise spanning product development, business operations, distribution networks, and customer acquisition.

In his new role, Raina will spearhead GTPL Broadband’s expansion strategy, with a focus on scaling both its consumer and enterprise broadband businesses. He will also oversee initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and accelerating the rollout of digital services across existing markets and new geographies.

The appointment comes as GTPL Broadband continues to strengthen its position in the wired broadband segment. The company currently serves more than one million subscribers and has built a network footprint covering nearly six million home passes across its operating regions.

Before joining Excitel Broadband, Raina held leadership roles at Digicable, Reliance Communications, and Hathway, where he gained extensive experience across multiple facets of the telecom and broadband ecosystem.

GTPL Broadband said the appointment aligns with its broader strategy of enhancing management capabilities and expanding its presence in India's rapidly growing broadband sector. The company expects Raina’s industry expertise and operational experience to play a key role in driving growth and strengthening its competitive position in the market.
