DS Group appoints Subrat Chakravarty as Chief Human Resources Officer, Corporate

Veteran HR leader with three decades of experience to drive people and process transformation across the FMCG conglomerate’s businesses.

Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) has appointed Subrat Chakravarty as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Corporate, strengthening its leadership team as the FMCG conglomerate sharpens its focus on organisational transformation and long-term growth.

In his new role, Chakravarty will head the Group’s human resources function and lead its people, culture and process transformation agenda across businesses.

Three decades of HR leadership

Chakravarty brings over 30 years of experience in human resources across large Indian and multinational organisations. A specialist in HR transformation, he has worked extensively in global HR operations, talent management and organisational design.

Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles at companies including HCL Technologies, Aon Hewitt, L&T Infotech, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (IPCL) and Bata India.

His professional focus has included aligning people strategy with business goals, strengthening organisational capability, and driving sustainable growth through the use of HR technology, data analytics and structured decision-making.

DS Group cites strategic value of appointment

Commenting on the appointment, Anshu Dewan, senior vice president – corporate strategy and business development at DS Group, said the company was entering an important phase of expansion.

Academic background

Chakravarty holds a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, and a bachelor’s degree in economics (honours) from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi.
