Daniel Shapero has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of LinkedIn, officially assuming the role in April 2026. A long-time member of the organisation, Shapero has been associated with LinkedIn for over 18 years.
He joined the company in May 2008 as one of its early employees, at a time when LinkedIn was still in its formative growth phase. Over the years, he has played a key role in shaping the platform’s evolution and scaling its global presence.
Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Shapero emphasised a learning-first approach to leadership. He shared that he plans to begin by listening and engaging closely with employees, members, creators, and customers—stakeholders he credits for building LinkedIn into a platform that drives economic opportunity.
Shapero succeeds Ryan Roslansky as CEO. In his statement, he expressed gratitude to Mike Gamson for bringing him on board and fostering a strong organisational culture, and acknowledged Roslansky for his leadership and long-standing partnership.
Prior to joining LinkedIn, Shapero held roles at Bain & Company, Paramark, and Zembu, where he built experience across strategy and business operations.
