Cipla has appointed Shivam Puri as chief executive officer of its One India Business and a member of the company's Management Council, effective July 1, 2026.
Puri currently serves as managing director and CEO of Cipla Health, the pharmaceutical major's wholly owned consumer healthcare subsidiary, a position he has held since 2019.
In his new role, Puri will oversee Cipla's India business operations, building on a track record that saw Cipla Health expand its presence across multiple consumer wellness categories, including smoking cessation, pain management, cough and cold remedies, skincare, haircare and nutrition.
During his tenure, Cipla Health evolved from a startup-like venture into a significant player in the wellness and consumer healthcare segment, supported by a portfolio of category-leading brands and growth initiatives.
Puri brings more than 23 years of experience spanning the FMCG and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining Cipla, he held leadership positions at Hindustan Unilever, Jubilant FoodWorks and ITC. At Hindustan Unilever, he worked across businesses including water purifiers, homecare and modern trade, while managing brands such as Surf Excel.
An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi and Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, Puri is expected to play a key role in driving Cipla's growth strategy in its home market.
