Bidisha Nagaraj has stepped down from her role as Global Vice President – Marketing (Home and Distribution) at Schneider Electric, bringing an end to a nearly 10-year journey with the energy management firm.
She joined the company in December 2016 as Vice President of Marketing for India and later expanded into a global mandate, leading marketing for the home solutions business across international markets.
In her farewell LinkedIn post, she reflected on her first day at the company, recalling how she questioned her fit in a sector centered around energy and power: “What exactly is the difference between electricity, energy, and power?” she wrote, describing herself as a B2C marketer stepping into a company that “powers the planet.”
Reflecting on her tenure, she emphasized that the core principles of marketing remain consistent regardless of industry, noting that “the fundamentals of great marketing don’t change with the category.”
She also highlighted how her understanding of sustainability evolved during her time at Schneider Electric, saying she moved from viewing it as a corporate mandate to seeing it as “the most powerful creative brief” for making sustainability a mainstream conversation.
Before joining Schneider Electric, Nagaraj worked across multiple organisations and categories, including Café Coffee Day, Google, Intel, Compaq and advertising agency Lintas, building a career spanning technology, consumer brands and advertising.
Her next move has not yet been announced. She signed off her post saying the “rear-view mirror is full and beautiful” and it is now “time to rev the engine,” hinting at a new chapter ahead.
