Nonita Kalra has joined Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL) as chief creative officer for luxury, fashion and lifestyle, strengthening the media group's focus on premium content, cultural programming and intellectual property creation.
An editorial and creative leader with more than three decades of experience, Kalra has worked across luxury publishing, fashion, lifestyle, brand storytelling and cultural programming. In her new role, she will spearhead BCCL's creative strategy across luxury, fashion, lifestyle and culture, while driving editorial excellence across brands including TOI, TIMS, OMS, 1838 and related platforms.
She will also oversee the creation and expansion of marquee intellectual properties spanning events, awards, festivals, exhibitions and community platforms. In addition, Kalra will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships with luxury brands, cultural institutions and creators, while working closely with editorial, commercial and experiential teams to develop integrated offerings.
Kalra began her journalism career with India Today and has held leadership roles at The Independent, Businessworld, The Indian Express, ELLE India and Harper's Bazaar India. Most recently, she served as Editor-in-Chief of Tata CLiQ Luxury.
Over the course of her career, she has led editorial transformations, launched premium publishing platforms and developed several luxury and cultural properties that have become industry benchmarks.
