Bajaj Capital Ltd has appointed banking and financial services veteran Samir Dewan as its Group Chief Executive Officer.
Dewan will be responsible for leading Bajaj Capital’s businesses, with a focus on driving profitable growth, strengthening client experience, enhancing operating capabilities and improving integration across the Group.
He brings over three decades of experience across wealth management, private banking and affluent banking in India and international markets. Before joining Bajaj Capital, Dewan was associated with IndusInd Bank as Senior Executive Vice President and Country Head for Affluent, Private, NRI and International Business.
Prior to IndusInd Bank, Dewan served as Country CEO for Singapore and COO of Private Banking (Emerging Markets) at Royal Bank of Canada. He has also held regional CFO and COO roles across Asia and Greater China at ABN AMRO, as well as senior leadership positions at Bank of America and ANZ.
Dewan holds an MBA from Birla Institute and has completed the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
