AU Small Finance Bank has appointed Yogesh Jain as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective July 25, 2026, following approval from its Board of Directors.

A banking veteran with over 16 years at AU, Jain has played a key role in the lender's evolution from a non-banking financial company (NBFC) into India's largest Small Finance Bank. During his tenure, he has led functions spanning capital mobilisation, treasury, financial institutions, strategic planning, operations, technology, digital banking, credit cards, customer experience and unsecured lending.

Most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Jain spearheaded the bank's technology modernisation and digital transformation initiatives, helping build scalable platforms to support AU's rapid expansion.

In his new role, Jain will continue to work closely with Founder, Managing Director and CEO Sanjay Agarwal, focusing on enterprise execution, operational strategy and advancing the bank's digital transformation agenda.

The leadership elevation comes as AU Small Finance Bank prepares for its transition into a Universal Bank after becoming the first Small Finance Bank in more than a decade to receive the Reserve Bank of India's in-principle approval for such a conversion. The appointment is also aimed at strengthening leadership continuity as the lender enters its next phase of growth.
