Arjoon Bose has been appointed vice president – marketing at Coach, taking charge of the brand’s marketing strategy across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, in a move that marks his entry into the fashion and retail sector.

Bose announced the development in a LinkedIn post, describing the appointment as a “new gig” as he transitions into the role, which will be based in London.

“Tipping over into the world of fashion & retail as Vice President Marketing Coach for Europe, Middle East, Africa & India,” he wrote.

Focus on brand building and new-age consumers

In his post, Bose said the opportunity comes at a time when Coach is sharpening its emphasis on brand building across key international markets. He indicated that he plans to work closely with regional teams to connect with younger consumers and strengthen the brand’s cultural relevance.

He noted that his focus would be on taking the brand to “a new generation of consumers through self-expression, courage, creativity and craftsmanship.”

Acknowledges support from leadership

Bose also expressed gratitude to senior leaders at Coach and its parent company, Tapestry, for backing his move into the role.

“Grateful to Sandeep, Joon, Anita and Matteo for your trust & support and a big thank you to everyone I’ve crossed thus far at our parent company Tapestry for the incredible welcome,” he wrote.

Extensive global marketing experience

Prior to joining Coach, Bose served as global chief marketing and digital officer at dairy and food major Bel. He has also held senior international marketing and brand leadership roles at General Mills, with responsibilities spanning Europe, Australia, Asia and Latin America.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at L’Oréal, working across global and regional marketing assignments.

Across his career, Bose has built experience in brand strategy, creative leadership, digital transformation and driving business growth across FMCG and consumer-focused companies, expertise he is now set to bring to the global fashion and accessories brand.
