Alliance Insurance Brokers Private Limited has announced the appointment of Aatur Shashikant Thakkar as its Chief Executive Officer and Principal Officer, marking a new phase of leadership and growth for the insurance and reinsurance broking company.
Thakkar succeeds founder Shashikant Thakkar, who will continue to remain closely associated with the organisation, providing strategic guidance and supporting its long-term expansion plans. The leadership transition is aimed at ensuring continuity while sharpening the company’s focus on execution and market growth.
Founder to continue in strategic role
The company said the founder will work alongside the new CEO in an advisory capacity, guiding long-term strategy and key business priorities as Alliance looks to strengthen its market position.
Aggressive expansion roadmap
In his new role, Aatur Thakkar will focus on scaling premiums under management to ₹5,000 crore over the next three financial years. The company has also set a target to double its reinsurance business during the same period.
Alliance plans to deepen its distribution footprint across corporate insurance, business-to-business channels, strategic partnerships and digital platforms, in a bid to expand its reach and strengthen client engagement nationwide.
Two decades with the firm
With over 20 years at Alliance Insurance Brokers, Thakkar has played a central role in the company’s operational development and growth journey. His elevation reflects the firm’s emphasis on leadership continuity, institutional knowledge and a client-focused growth strategy as it prepares for its next phase of scale.
The company said the new leadership structure is expected to support disciplined expansion and reinforce Alliance’s long-term ambitions in both insurance and reinsurance broking.
