Bharti Airtel has appointed Shreyas Mehrotra as chief marketing officer and head of digital sales for Airtel Business, strengthening its leadership team as the company scales its enterprise and cloud-led offerings.

Mehrotra assumed charge of the role in January 2026 and will be based in Gurugram. Alongside his new responsibilities, he will continue to lead marketing for Nxtra by Airtel and Airtel Digital, which has recently been rebranded as Xtelify.

Expanded mandate at Airtel Business

In his new position, Mehrotra will be responsible for driving marketing strategy and expanding digital sales capabilities across Airtel Business. His mandate includes deeper integration of digital sales channels, strengthening data-led marketing initiatives and accelerating customer acquisition in the enterprise segment.

The move comes as Airtel sharpens its focus on cloud services, digital platforms and technology-led solutions for corporate customers.

Journey within Airtel

Mehrotra has been with Airtel since June 2018 and has held multiple leadership roles across brand and marketing functions during his tenure.

In his early years at the company, he worked across Airtel’s B2C portfolio and was involved in several brand and product launches. He transitioned to Airtel Business in 2022, where he served as marketing head for more than three years.

During this period, he played a key role in strengthening Airtel Business’s B2B brand positioning and accelerating its emphasis on cloud and digital platforms.

Experience across telecom, consumer and digital brands

Before joining Airtel, Mehrotra held senior marketing roles at Tata Teleservices, Ola (TaxiForSure) and Marico, building experience across consumer brand marketing, digital transformation and sales leadership.

He began his career in sales and technology-focused roles, giving him exposure across both commercial operations and marketing strategy — a background that is expected to support Airtel Business’s push toward integrated digital sales and marketing execution.

With this appointment, Airtel aims to further align its enterprise marketing and revenue engines with its broader digital and cloud growth strategy.
