Actor and entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor has entered the healthcare space with the launch of MetaGO, a doctor-led metabolic health platform focused on helping people manage obesity and related metabolic conditions through long-term clinical care.
Co-founded by Kapoor, Varun Sheth and Zaheer Adenwala, the platform stems from insights the founders gained while building Ketto. Over more than a decade of working with families seeking financial support for serious medical treatments, they observed that many chronic illnesses—including Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity—often develop over years before becoming medical emergencies.
MetaGO aims to address these conditions earlier through an integrated care model. The platform offers doctor consultations, comprehensive metabolic assessments covering more than 35 biomarkers, personalised treatment plans, clinically appropriate GLP-1 therapies, nutrition counselling, fitness coaching and ongoing monitoring.
According to the company, each member undergoes a detailed metabolic evaluation before receiving a customised treatment plan prepared by specialists, including endocrinologists, diabetologists, cardiologists or internal medicine physicians. Treatment plans are designed to evolve over time, with continued supervision and follow-up aimed at supporting sustainable lifestyle changes and long-term health outcomes.
Speaking on the launch, Kunal Kapoor said the idea behind MetaGO emerged from recognising patterns during Ketto's journey, where many patients sought help only after metabolic conditions had significantly progressed. He added that while GLP-1 therapies have transformed obesity treatment, medication alone is not enough without medical supervision, behavioural support and lifestyle interventions.
Varun Sheth, co-founder and CEO of MetaGO, said the company is focused on making continuous, evidence-based metabolic care more accessible in India by combining diagnostics, digital care and physician-led treatment.
Dr. Kaushal Patel, a cardiologist and member of MetaGO's medical advisory team, said GLP-1 therapies deliver the best outcomes when paired with regular clinical supervision, metabolic monitoring and sustained lifestyle support.
As part of its community outreach, MetaGO recently organised a free metabolic health camp for the Mumbai Police, offering blood tests and physician consultations. The company plans to conduct similar initiatives for other professional groups in the coming months.
