Ashish Gupta, a marketing and education-sector professional with over two decades of experience, has launched EdNex Global, an international education consulting firm positioning itself as an outcome-led alternative to traditional study abroad counselling models.

The firm enters a crowded market at a time when overseas education decisions are increasingly scrutinised for their financial viability, employability outcomes and long-term career relevance. Unlike conventional counselling models that prioritise admissions, EdNex Global is focusing on aligning study abroad choices with post-study work prospects, industry demand and realistic career pathways.

Founder brings extensive sector experience

Gupta’s professional background includes building and managing student recruitment and marketing operations in India, with hands-on exposure to domestic counselling teams as well as international university partners. According to the company, this experience has shaped its emphasis on clearer guidance, realistic expectations and longer-term planning for students and families.

The firm argues that while global education options have expanded, counselling practices have not evolved at the same pace, often remaining transactional in nature.

Emphasis on careers, ROI and employability

EdNex Global’s counselling framework incorporates return-on-investment (ROI) assessments of courses and destinations, evaluation of visa success probabilities, and a focus on post-study work opportunities. The model is designed to help students understand how their education choices may translate into career outcomes over time, rather than simply securing an offer letter.

Commenting on the launch, Ashish Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, EdNex Global, said, “Study abroad decisions have lasting financial and professional consequences, yet counselling has often remained transactional. Our approach begins with understanding where a student wants to be several years down the line and then mapping education choices that realistically support that outcome.”

End-to-end support and ethical guidelines

The firm will provide end-to-end services covering counselling, admissions, documentation and visa processes. It plans to work with universities across major study destinations including Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, parts of Europe and the Middle East.

Internal quality controls, standardised counselling processes and defined ethical guidelines form a key part of EdNex Global’s operating framework. The company says these measures are intended to bring consistency to counselling outcomes while allowing flexibility for individual student circumstances.

Technology as a support layer, not a replacement

Technology plays a supporting role in the firm’s model. EdNex Global has invested in CRM-led lead management systems and data-backed counsellor allocation to improve response times and coordination, while retaining personalised, human-led advisory processes.

Expansion plans underway

As it scales operations, the company plans to expand into select Indian cities and strengthen its counselling and documentation teams over the coming year, signalling its intent to build a wider national footprint.

With increasing scrutiny on the real-world value of international education, EdNex Global is positioning itself as part of a broader shift toward outcome-driven, accountability-focused student advisory services.
