Crunchyroll has partnered with Sony Pictures Networks India’s Sony LIV to offer its anime catalogue as an add-on subscription within the platform in India.

Under the collaboration, Sony LIV subscribers can access Crunchyroll’s library of more than 900 titles, including over 160 dubbed shows in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, at Rs 99 per month.

As part of a limited-period offer between May 7 and May 21, 2026, users can subscribe to Crunchyroll’s monthly fan tier on Sony LIV at Rs 49. Subscribers who opt for the offer will continue at the same price for six months.

Additionally, a selection of anime titles will be made available to Sony LIV users without requiring a Crunchyroll subscription for a limited period.

Terry Li, Chief Product Officer, Head of Emerging Business, and General Manager of Games at Crunchyroll, said India represents a key growth market for anime, adding that the integration with Sony LIV is aimed at improving accessibility for both new and existing fans.

Nachiket Pantvaidya, Chief Content Officer at Sony Pictures Networks India, said the partnership will help the platform tap into the growing anime audience in India while expanding its content offering to newer demographics.

According to a 2025 study commissioned by Crunchyroll and conducted by National Research Group, 62% of entertainment consumers in India said they either like or love Japanese anime, while 74% of teenagers identified themselves as anime fans.
