Alphabet reported a 24% year-on-year increase in revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by strong growth across Google Search, Cloud and YouTube as the company continued to scale its artificial intelligence offerings.

Revenue for the quarter rose to $119.8 billion, compared with $96.4 billion in the corresponding period last year. Operating income increased to $40.8 billion from $31.3 billion, while operating margin expanded to 34%, up from 32% a year earlier.

Advertising remained Alphabet's largest revenue contributor, with Google Advertising generating $81.63 billion, up from $71.34 billion in the year-ago quarter. Growth was led by Google Search & Other, where revenue increased to $63.27 billion from $54.19 billion, while YouTube advertising revenue rose to $11.05 billion from $9.80 billion. Revenue from the Google Network business was largely unchanged at $7.30 billion.

Google Services, which includes Search, YouTube, subscriptions, Android and other consumer offerings, reported revenue of $94.5 billion, compared with $82.5 billion a year earlier. Revenue from subscriptions, platforms and devices also increased to $12.9 billion, up from $11.2 billion.

Google Cloud remained Alphabet's fastest-growing business during the quarter, with revenue soaring 82% year-on-year to $24.8 billion. Operating income for the segment more than tripled to $8.8 billion, reflecting growing enterprise demand for AI infrastructure and cloud services.

Net income attributable to common stockholders rose to $112.1 billion, compared with $28.2 billion in the year-ago quarter. Alphabet said the sharp increase was largely driven by $99 billion in unrealised gains on equity securities, recorded under other income. Diluted earnings per share increased to $9.11 from $2.31.

Commenting on the results, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said the company's investments in AI were driving growth across its businesses. He noted that nearly 90% of Fortune 100 companies now use Gemini Enterprise, while Gemini models process 22 billion API tokens every minute. The Gemini app has also reached 950 million monthly active users, and AI-powered features continue to boost Search usage.

Pichai added that YouTube recorded more than 1.7 billion unique viewers for FIFA World Cup 2026-related content during the quarter, underscoring the platform's global reach. He said Alphabet's "full stack approach to AI" continues to create value for consumers, customers and partners.
