Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting has acquired a 60% stake in digital-first skincare brand Dermatouch at an enterprise value of Rs 387.5 crore, marking its entry into India's premium skincare segment.
The company will acquire the remaining 40% stake in Dermatouch over the next three years. Co-founders Anish Nagpal and Amit Purswani, along with the existing management team, will continue to operate the business during this period.
Founded by Nagpal and Purswani, Dermatouch offers science-backed skincare products across categories such as pigmentation, acne, brightening and sun protection. Its portfolio spans face washes, soaps, serums, creams, moisturisers and sunscreens, with products available through its direct-to-consumer platform, online marketplaces and offline retail channels.
Dermatouch reported revenue of Rs 131 crore in FY26, registering a 114% increase over the previous fiscal year. Wipro said the brand's monthly sales have grown from around 60,000 products two years ago to more than 60,000 products a day currently.
The transaction marks Wipro Consumer Care's 18th acquisition globally and its third strategic acquisition in the past month. It is also the company's first acquisition of a digital-first brand.
Kumar Chander, CEO, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting and MD, Wipro Enterprises, said the company had been selective about digital brands, particularly those with the potential to expand into offline channels.
“Dermatouch represents an exciting opportunity for us as our first foray into digital brands. We have been clear that we would only look at digital brands that have the potential to expand offline, which Dermatouch has already proven. The brand has earned significant consumer trust in a short span of time, and we see considerable potential to scale it further by combining its innovation-led approach with Wipro’s capabilities,” he said.
Nagpal and Purswani said the partnership would help Dermatouch expand its reach while leveraging Wipro's distribution and research capabilities.
“Partnering with Wipro marks a monumental milestone in Dermatouch’s journey. Since inception, our mission has been to build a trusted, science-backed and efficacy-led skincare brand focused on addressing real consumer concerns. Wipro’s legacy of trust, consumer-first philosophy and decades of experience in building and scaling successful brands across global markets makes it an ideal partner for our next phase of growth,” they said.
Sumit Keshan, Head of M&A, India and Managing Partner, Wipro Consumer Ventures at Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, said the acquisition aligns with Wipro's strategy of investing in high-growth segments within personal care.
“Dermatouch aligns perfectly with our strategy to capture high-growth segments in personal care. The brand has cultivated customer loyalty through its science-backed portfolio and deep understanding of evolving consumer needs. By combining Dermatouch's strengths with Wipro Consumer Care's capabilities in R&D, distribution and innovation, we believe there is extensive scope to accelerate growth in India's fast-growing premium skincare market,” he said.
The acquisition comes shortly after Wipro Consumer Care's recent purchases of Good Home and Eva from TTK Healthcare, as well as S brands in the Philippines, as the company continues to expand its personal care portfolio through acquisitions.
