India's Wagh Bakri Tea Group has launched an AI-powered digital campaign for its newly introduced Wagh Bakri SIPZ Instant Chai, marking the brand's latest effort to combine technology-driven storytelling with consumer insights as it targets a new generation of tea drinkers.
The campaign is built around the insight that while consumers may be away from home, they continue to seek the comfort of "ghar jaisi chai." Carrying the message, "Urgency Can Wait, But Chai Craving Can't," the campaign introduces WB SIPZ Man, a character inspired by the product's packaging, to demonstrate how consumers can prepare a familiar cup of tea instantly by simply adding hot water to a SIPZ sachet.
The initiative comes as demand for convenient beverage options continues to grow among students, working professionals and travellers seeking quick solutions without compromising on taste.
Paras Desai, Executive Director, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, said the company has consistently evolved with changing consumer preferences while maintaining its legacy of quality and trust.
"For over 130 years, Wagh Bakri has evolved with changing consumer preferences while staying true to its legacy of quality and trust. 'SIPZ Instant Chai' offers consumers the familiar taste of Wagh Bakri in a travel-friendly format. This new AI-powered campaign reflects our commitment to embracing technology to create meaningful consumer experiences without compromising our core values," he said.
Gaurav Parashar, Chief Marketing Officer, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, said the instant chai category is witnessing rapid growth as consumers increasingly prioritise convenience alongside authentic taste.
"At Wagh Bakri SIPZ, we are expanding the category through our ₹10 SKU, making Instant Chai more accessible to students, young professionals, travellers, offices and small businesses. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence, we've accelerated creative execution, enabled fresh storytelling and created more meaningful consumer engagements," he said.
The campaign was developed in collaboration with creative consultancy AHA (ThatsAHA Consulting LLP).
Sushobhan Chowdhury, Founder, AHA, said AI has reduced traditional production constraints, enabling brands to execute ambitious creative ideas more efficiently.
"The ideas still come from human intelligence; AI simply removes the production blockers. Wagh Bakri SIPZ allowed us to bring an ambitious creative vision to life without compromising the original idea," he said.
The campaign will be rolled out across digital and social media platforms as part of an integrated marketing plan for Wagh Bakri SIPZ Instant Chai, as the company looks to strengthen its connect with digitally connected consumers while reinforcing its 130-year legacy of trust and quality.
