Truecaller has announced a strategic partnership with Gupshup to expand the reach of its Business Messaging solution across India, Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and several other international markets. The collaboration is aimed at enabling enterprises to adopt richer, more secure and interactive communication channels for customer engagement.
Under the partnership, Gupshup will offer Truecaller Business Messaging to its enterprise customers, allowing brands to communicate with consumers through verified and media-rich messages instead of relying solely on traditional SMS.
The solution enables businesses to send messages featuring brand names, logos and Truecaller’s green verified badge, helping establish authenticity and reduce the risk of communications being ignored or marked as spam. It also supports rich media formats such as images, videos, documents, invoices and boarding passes, providing customers with more contextual and engaging interactions.
Commenting on the partnership, Priyam Bose, Global Head of Go-To-Market at Truecaller, said the collaboration would simplify how enterprises communicate with customers globally while creating more trusted and conversational experiences for users.
Beerud Sheth, Founder and CEO of Gupshup, said businesses increasingly need to engage consumers on trusted platforms and through channels that offer seamless interactions. He added that the partnership would provide enterprises with another effective avenue for customer engagement.
Truecaller Business Messaging also includes one-tap calls-to-action that enable users to quickly complete tasks such as copying OTPs, tracking orders and checking in for flights. Additionally, the platform supports "Sticky Notifications" for time-sensitive updates, ensuring critical messages remain prominently visible within the chat interface.
According to the companies, the solution is designed to support the entire customer journey, from secure OTP delivery and bill payments to feedback collection and customer service interactions. By combining Gupshup’s enterprise reach with Truecaller’s messaging technology, the partnership seeks to deliver business communications that are more visible, trusted and actionable for consumers worldwide.
