Sanspareils Greenlands (SG) has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘Ready Is Overrated’, featuring actor and campaign ambassador Adarsh Gourav, as the brand sharpens its positioning in performance-led apparel and footwear.
The campaign is built on the idea that movement does not wait for perfect conditions, reflecting a broader shift towards a more fluid, instinct-driven approach to sport and everyday performance.
Adarsh Gourav, a BAFTA-nominated actor known for The White Tiger and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, has been brought on as the face of the campaign. His journey and on-screen persona align with the campaign’s core message of starting without waiting for ideal circumstances.
With this initiative, SG is moving beyond its traditional identity in cricket equipment to position itself as a multi-sport brand catering to both structured sports and everyday activity. The campaign narrative captures a generation that prioritises action over preparation and embraces imperfection as part of growth.
The campaign film showcases Gourav across multiple sporting environments, including football, tennis, and basketball, highlighting unconventional and dynamic transitions between disciplines.
Commenting on the campaign, Smita Anand, Business Head, Sportswear & Accessories at SG, said that sport has never been about waiting for the right moment but about starting with what one has. She added that the campaign reflects the brand’s focus on enabling movement across formats as it expands its apparel and footwear portfolio.
Adarsh Gourav said his association with SG is rooted in nostalgia and personal connection, recalling the brand’s presence in the growing years of many young cricketers in India. He added that the campaign reflects the spirit of perseverance and the attitude of not giving up.
The campaign also aligns with broader market trends. India’s sports and fitness ecosystem is expanding rapidly, with over 655 million sports enthusiasts and the market projected to reach USD 130 billion by 2030.
