Sachin Tendulkar joins SML as brand ambassador

The agri-input company will launch a nationwide campaign to promote its crop nutrition and crop protection portfolio.

SML has appointed Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador as the company looks to deepen its engagement with farmers, dealers, distributors and other stakeholders across India's agricultural value chain.

As part of the partnership, SML will roll out an integrated marketing campaign across television, digital, print, dealer engagement programmes and on-ground farmer outreach initiatives. Titled 'SML, Fasal Ka Master Blaster', the campaign draws on Tendulkar's cricketing legacy to showcase the company's crop nutrition and crop protection portfolio.

Commenting on the association, Tendulkar said the future of agriculture will be driven by innovation backed by purpose, adding that SML's efforts to develop solutions for farmers align with the goal of building a more sustainable future.

Bimal Shah, managing director, SML, said the partnership reflects the company's focus on building trust and credibility as key differentiators in the evolving agri-input sector. He added that Tendulkar's reputation for excellence and consistency makes him a strong fit for the brand as it enters its next phase of growth.

The collaboration is part of SML's broader expansion strategy, which includes investments in research and development, patented technologies, new product registrations and growth in international markets.
