Pratik Dawda has joined Omnicom-owned media agency PHD as associate vice president, marking his exit from Wavemaker, now operating under the WPP Media banner, after a tenure of nearly nine and a half years.
Dawda announced the move through a post on LinkedIn, confirming his transition to the agency at a time when PHD is undergoing organisational realignment following Omnicom’s recent consolidation of its media operations.
Shift follows Omnicom Media Group consolidation
The appointment comes amid structural changes at PHD, which now operates under Omnicom Media Group after the holding company integrated its media businesses globally. The consolidation is aimed at streamlining operations and strengthening client servicing capabilities across markets, including India.
Two decades across media, digital and technology sectors
With more than 20 years of experience in the media and technology ecosystem, Dawda brings a diverse professional background spanning traditional media, digital platforms and enterprise technology.
Prior to his long stint at Wavemaker, he held roles at HT Media, online classifieds platform Quikr, and technology firm ChoiceConnex, building expertise across media planning, digital strategy and business development.
His appointment adds to a series of senior-level talent moves within global agency networks as they recalibrate leadership structures and capabilities in response to shifting client demands and increasing convergence between media, data and technology services.
