Omnicom Media Group has won Adidas’s global media account, estimated to be worth $512 million, marking one of the year's biggest media account shifts, according to an ADWEEK report.

The account, which has been with EssenceMediacom since 2018, will now be managed by PHD, Omnicom Media Group’s media agency network. EssenceMediacom inherited the business after the merger of Mediacom and Essence in 2023.

The review reportedly attracted competition from Publicis Groupe and incumbent WPP, with Omnicom ultimately securing the mandate.

PHD will now oversee Adidas’ global media business, adding another marquee client to its portfolio, which already includes brands such as Volkswagen, Google and 7-Eleven.

The account win comes shortly after PHD received the Media Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for its "Build Your Own Super Bowl" campaign created for Uber Eats, further strengthening the agency network’s momentum on the global stage.
