Mother Dairy has expanded its sustainability-led communication with a print campaign on World Environment Day, reinforcing awareness around its newly introduced naturally degradable milk pouch.

The print advertisements, released across leading newspapers, highlight what the company describes as India's first naturally degradable milk pouch. The packaging is being introduced for Mother Dairy's flagship Cow Milk variant in the Delhi-NCR market and is available to consumers from June 5, 2026.

One of the creatives announces the launch of the new pouch, describing it as packaging that is "made to gently go back to the soil over time." The campaign links the brand's longstanding promise of care with a broader commitment to environmental responsibility, suggesting that caring for households should also mean caring for the planet.

Another creative visually explains the pouch's degradation process, illustrating how it can rest in soil, transform into earth-friendly wax, serve as nourishment for natural microbes and eventually break down into natural elements. Featuring a partially decomposed milk pouch surrounded by soil and emerging plant life, the advertisement underscores the environmental benefits of the innovation.

The print campaign builds on Mother Dairy's recently launched digital film, created in partnership with Ogilvy. Centred on the thought, "Jo maa rakhe sabka khayal, Mother Dairy ko hai us maa ka khayal," the campaign extends the brand's core theme of care to include sustainability and conscious innovation.

The digital film is accompanied by a soundtrack rendered by lyricist, singer and actor Swanand Kirkire. Through the integrated campaign, Mother Dairy aims to drive awareness of the new packaging solution while encouraging conversations around sustainable consumption and responsible waste management.

The naturally degradable milk pouch is being rolled out from World Environment Day 2026, marking a significant step in the company's efforts to reduce the environmental impact of everyday packaging.
