The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has appointed actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh as its brand ambassadors for a five-year term.
The agreement was formalised at Mantralaya, the state secretariat, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik, who also serves as chairman of the corporation.
As part of their role, the duo will front campaigns focused on road safety, passenger awareness, and broader social messaging. They are also expected to participate in outreach initiatives led by the state-run transport body.
MSRTC, which operates a fleet of over 16,000 buses and caters to more than 5.5 million passengers daily, has previously collaborated with personalities such as Makarand Anaspure and Vikram Gokhale as brand ambassadors.
