Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited, has launched a new digital video campaign (DVC) for its advanced heat-reflective coating, Nerolac Perma NoHeat, showcasing the product's performance through thermal imaging technology.

Conceptualised and produced by creative and content agency BUZZINga, the campaign employs India's only thermal imaging camera to visually demonstrate the coating's ability to reduce surface temperatures by up to 15°C. By capturing treated and untreated surfaces under real-world conditions in Rajasthan, the film transforms an otherwise invisible benefit into compelling visual evidence.

Rather than relying on conventional product claims, the campaign places Nerolac Perma NoHeat in a live experiment, allowing thermal imaging technology to capture and display temperature differences in real time. Rendered in a heat-spectrum colour palette, the footage clearly highlights the coating's effectiveness in reducing heat absorption on exposed surfaces.

The initiative marks a notable departure from traditional communication within the paint category. By making scientific proof the centrepiece of the narrative, Kansai Nerolac Paints and BUZZINga have converted a technical product specification into an instantly understandable consumer benefit.

Commenting on the campaign, Ramkrishna Naik, Chief Marketing Officer, Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited, said, "With Nerolac Perma NoHeat, we have always known that the product's strongest advocate is its own performance. Our objective with this campaign was to bridge the gap between what we claim and what consumers can independently verify. It was not built on storytelling alone, but on evidence. In a market where trust and performance accountability are increasingly influencing purchase decisions, we believe this approach sets a new benchmark for communicating product efficacy."

Sharing the creative thinking behind the campaign, Kritika Beri, Co-Founder, BUZZINga, said, "The brief was simple: help consumers understand that a paint can actually help reduce heat. We realised the answer wasn't in explaining the science better, but in making it visible. This led us to create a film centred around thermal imaging technology and a real-world experiment. It allowed us to turn an invisible benefit into something consumers could instantly see and understand, while creating what we believe is a first-of-its-kind use of thermal imaging in the Indian paint category."

Designed for exterior walls, terraces and rooftops, Nerolac Perma NoHeat acts as a passive cooling solution that requires no electricity or ongoing maintenance. Engineered specifically for Indian climatic conditions, the coating incorporates specialised pigments that reflect solar radiation and reduce heat absorption, helping keep surfaces cooler even under intense sunlight.
