JK Maxx Paints has appointed Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador, as the company looks to accelerate growth and strengthen its foothold in India’s competitive decorative paints market.

The association will be amplified through an integrated campaign spanning print, television, digital, outdoor, and retail channels, aimed at building stronger brand recall and consumer connect.

Launched in 2023, JK Maxx Paints is part of the JK Group’s portfolio, which also includes its well-established wall putty brand, JK WallMaxx. The latest move signals the company’s intent to scale visibility and position itself as a credible, high-performance player in the paints category.

Nitish Chopra, Business Head – White Cement and Paints, described the partnership as a key milestone in the brand’s growth journey. He emphasised that as the company expands across markets, its focus remains on building trust and delivering reliable solutions. He added that Akshay Kumar’s credibility and mass appeal make him an ideal partner to amplify the brand’s narrative.

Speaking on the collaboration, Akshay Kumar said the association felt natural, highlighting the strong trust consumers already place in the JK brand, especially through products like JK WallMaxx Wall Putty. He noted that such credibility and familiarity resonate deeply with him.

The move underscores a broader industry trend, where paint brands increasingly rely on celebrity endorsements to stand out and drive differentiation in a crowded market.
