JioStar has strengthened its Entertainment Digital Ad Sales business with the appointment of three senior industry professionals across key growth areas spanning branding, commerce and content-led intellectual property. Sudhir Shukla has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (LCS Branding), while Rachit Jain and Junaid Khwaja have been appointed Senior Vice Presidents for Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital, overseeing LCS Commerce and Content IPs, respectively.

The appointments are part of JioStar’s efforts to build greater depth across its digital advertising business, with specialised leadership focused on strengthening customer engagement, driving innovation and creating new avenues for revenue growth. The changes were communicated internally by Bhaskar Ramesh, Head, Entertainment Sales, Digital, JioStar.

Shukla brings more than two decades of professional experience across consumer packaged goods, retail, online businesses and media. Prior to joining JioStar, he served as Chief Operating Officer and P&L Head at More Retail. His earlier leadership stints include Cars24, Star Sports and Mondelez.

Jain joins JioStar with over 20 years of experience spanning digital advertising, technology and media. Before this appointment, he co-founded Sparkonomy, an AI-led platform for content creators. He previously led Meta India’s Mid-Market and Growth Businesses, where he was responsible for revenue strategy and relationships with high-growth advertisers.

Khwaja, meanwhile, takes charge as Senior Vice President, Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (Content IPs). He brings over 18 years of experience across the media and technology ecosystem. He was most recently Senior Vice President and National Sales Head at Dream11 and had earlier led Agency Partnerships and Media Sales for Amazon Ads India.

The leadership additions are accompanied by a realignment of responsibilities within JioStar’s digital sales organisation. Amrita Choudhary will report to Shukla and lead the CPG business, while Amandeep Mittal will continue to report to Ramesh and focus on the Mid-Market segment. Aashish Gupta will also report to Ramesh and take charge of Digital PRS. Shubhra Sethi, Bikash Kundu and Vivek Modi will continue to work across both the Digital and Linear Entertainment Revenue teams.

The three appointments come as JioStar continues to develop specialised capabilities within its Entertainment Digital Ad Sales business, bringing dedicated leadership to branding, commerce and content IPs while maintaining alignment between its digital and linear revenue operations. The company had earlier appointed Bhaskar Ramesh as Head of Entertainment Sales, Digital, with a mandate to build a modern, data-led advertising ecosystem, deepen advertiser partnerships and unlock new revenue opportunities.
