Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has appointed World No. 1 para-archer, current World Champion and Arjuna Awardee Sheetal Devi as its brand ambassador. The partnership will see Hyundai collaborate with the 19-year-old athlete across purpose-led marketing campaigns, accessibility programmes, inclusion initiatives and social impact communication, in line with the company's global vision of “Progress for Humanity”.

Sheetal Devi is currently ranked World No. 1 in Women's Compound Para Archery by the World Archery Federation and is the reigning World Champion, having won gold at the 2025 World Archery Para Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.

Hailing from Loidhar village in Jammu & Kashmir's Kishtwar district, Devi has emerged as one of India's leading para-athletes. She has won a Paralympic medal, three Asian Games medals and holds two world records. She also became the first Indian para-archer to be selected for an able-bodied national team.

Commenting on the association, Tarun Garg, Managing Director & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said that Devi represents the determination to overcome barriers and create positive change.

“Sheetal Devi is not just a champion athlete; she is a symbol of what human determination can achieve when barriers are replaced by opportunities. Her journey inspires millions and we are proud to partner with her as we advance Hyundai's vision of Progress for Humanity. Together, we hope to spark conversations around inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities while encouraging individuals to pursue their aspirations without limitations,” Garg said.

Devi said she was honoured to partner with Hyundai, highlighting the company's support for her journey through its Samarth by Hyundai initiative.

“This partnership represents our shared belief in perseverance, inclusion and the pursuit of excellence. I look forward to working with Hyundai and contributing to initiatives that inspire people to believe in their abilities and achieve their fullest potential,” she said.

Hyundai has been associated with Sheetal Devi since 2023 through its Samarth by Hyundai initiative. The company said the partnership builds on its efforts to promote inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities.

Through the association, Hyundai and Devi will work on campaigns and community initiatives aimed at raising awareness around accessibility and representation while highlighting the potential of individuals to overcome barriers.

For Hyundai, the partnership reinforces its belief that mobility and progress should be accessible to everyone. For Devi, the association extends her role beyond sport, positioning her as a symbol of resilience, inclusion and equal opportunity.
