Goafest 2026 honours Prasoon Joshi on Prasar Bharati appointment

India’s advertising, media and communications industry felicitated Prasoon Joshi at Goafest 2026 following his appointment as Chairman of Prasar Bharati, in addition to his ongoing role at Omnicom.

Joshi has been associated with Indian advertising and communication for several years, contributing across brand campaigns, cultural storytelling and public communication. The recognition at Goafest acknowledged both his contribution to the industry and his new leadership role at Prasar Bharati.

Speaking on the occasion, Padma Shri Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, Omnicom Advertising India and Chairman, Prasar Bharati, said, “Recognition from one’s own fraternity is always special. I accept it with gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. The advertising industry has shaped and continues to sharpen my understanding of people, culture and storytelling. Prasar Bharati now offers the privilege of applying that understanding in the service of the nation and a larger public purpose.”

Industry members at the event highlighted Joshi’s work across advertising, cinema, literature and public communication over the years.

Goafest is jointly organised by the Advertising Agencies Association of India and The Advertising Club.
