Flipkart has rolled out a new advertising campaign to highlight its sponsorship of the Namibia national cricket team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The campaign focuses on the reasoning behind the Indian e-commerce platform partnering with Namibia, despite its operations being limited to India.

The film features members of the Namibia team along with the head of the platform, who is questioned about the decision to sponsor an international side. He explains that Namibia has been drawn in the same group as the Indian men’s cricket team, which ensures similar match exposure, comparable logo visibility, and access to the same viewership. The film positions this as a smart commercial move, reinforcing Flipkart’s brand promise of offering the best deals to Indian consumers.
As per the tournament draw, Namibia has been placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, the USA, and the Netherlands. Two of Namibia’s group-stage matches against the Netherlands and India will be played in Delhi, while their match against the USA is scheduled in Chennai. Namibia’s final league fixture against Pakistan will take place in Colombo.
The campaign has been conceptualised by Leo Burnett India.
This approach is in line with a broader trend of Indian brands partnering with international cricket teams to maximise visibility during global tournaments. In the previous edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Amul sponsored the USA and South Africa, while Karnataka Milk Federation’s brand Nandini partnered with Cricket Ireland and Cricket Scotland. HCLTech has been the official digital technology partner of Cricket Australia since 2019.
