Diversified conglomerate DS Group has partnered with UK-based dessert chain Ben’s Cookies to introduce the premium cookie brand in India, marking its entry into the country’s fast-growing artisanal dessert market.
Founded in 1983 at Oxford’s Covered Market in the UK, Ben’s Cookies is known globally for its freshly baked cookies made in small batches. Through the partnership, the brand will launch its signature “bakery-first” retail concept in India, centred around in-store preparation and live-oven baking throughout the day.
The initial menu will feature some of the brand’s globally popular flavours including Milk Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate & Macadamia, and Ginger & Dark Chocolate, along with an eggless option tailored for Indian consumers. Individual cookies will be priced from Rs 325 onwards, while premium gifting boxes and assortments will start above Rs 1,500.
Speaking on the launch, Sanskriti Gupta from Ben’s Cookies India said the partnership represents a key step in DS Group’s expansion within the premium food retail space. The company plans to open between eight and ten stores across India during the current financial year as part of its broader growth strategy for the brand.
In addition to physical outlets, Ben’s Cookies products will also be made available through food delivery and e-commerce platforms to expand accessibility across urban markets.
Luke Menezes of Ben’s Cookies said the India outlets will retain the brand’s globally recognised fresh-baking experience, with cookies baked in-store through the day. Beyond cookies, stores will also serve coffee, cookie shakes and cookie ice cream sandwiches.
The launch comes at a time when India’s premium dessert and cookie segment is witnessing increased traction, fuelled by rising urban spending, café culture and growing demand for handcrafted indulgence products.
