CaratLane has appointed Yami Gautam Dhar as its first-ever brand ambassador, marking a significant pivot in its marketing strategy as the brand looks to expand visibility and deepen consumer engagement.

Part of the Tata Group, CaratLane has been positioning itself as an everyday fine jewellery brand, focusing on contemporary design and accessibility. The latest move aligns with its effort to tap into evolving consumer behaviour, where jewellery is increasingly seen as a part of daily wear rather than reserved for special occasions.

According to the company, the association aims to strengthen its connection with modern consumers seeking versatile and expressive jewellery options.

Saumen Bhaumik described the onboarding as a “significant moment” for the brand, adding that Gautam Dhar embodies “authenticity, elegance, and a modern perspective on success,” which aligns with CaratLane’s evolving identity.

Gautam Dhar, meanwhile, said she resonated with the brand’s approach to redefining how modern India experiences fine jewellery. She highlighted its ability to blend elegance with contemporary sensibilities, making it suitable for everyday expression.

The partnership also reflects a broader industry trend, with jewellery brands increasingly leveraging celebrity endorsements to drive recall and cultural relevance, particularly in the fast-growing everyday jewellery category.
