Beats has released a new campaign film, Dare to Dream, in collaboration with artist Travis Scott, framing themes of ambition, self-belief and perseverance while introducing its latest audio product, Powerbeats Fit.

The campaign takes inspiration from a 2011 tweet by Scott, in which he expressed his desire to become “somebody”. Beats reimagines this moment as a narrative anchor, connecting Scott’s early aspirations with his current stature as a global performer and creator.

Recreating the past to tell the present

To ground the film in personal history, Beats recreated Scott’s childhood bedroom, incorporating elements from his formative years as a musician. The set features details such as an Apple iMac and early Beats Studio headphones, reflecting the tools that shaped his early creative process.

The storyline shifts between timelines, beginning with visuals of a young Scott experimenting with music before transitioning to scenes from his large-scale Circus Maximus tour performances. Scott’s mother, Wanda Webster, appears in the film, adding a personal dimension to the narrative.

Rather than casting a younger actor, the production uses digital de-ageing technology to portray Scott at an earlier stage of his life. The reveal of Powerbeats Fit acts as a visual and thematic bridge between past and present, accompanied by an unreleased track from the artist.

Creative collaborators behind the film

The project was developed in collaboration with Larry Jackson, founder of gamma., and directed by Anthony Mandler. Jackson’s association with Beats dates back to the brand’s early years, and he has previously worked with Scott across multiple creative ventures.

Voices from the campaign

Reflecting on the film, Travis Scott said:

“This film isn’t just about where I came from — it’s about the vision I had before anyone else could see it. Beats has been a part of that story since the beginning.”

Larry Jackson described the project as a return to the brand’s roots, stating:

“Beats has always been powered by bold imagination — from Jimmy Iovine handing me the first Studio prototype in 2007 to the iconic campaigns that defined a generation. Returning now to help shape the brand’s next chapter with Dare to Dream feels like coming full circle,”
adding that the campaign reflects the importance of self-belief in long-term creative journeys.

Chris Thorne, chief marketing officer at Beats, said the collaboration reflects shared values between the brand and the artist.

“This campaign captures something deeply personal — the belief that greatness starts with a single idea and the courage to chase it. It’s the same belief that connects Beats and Travis — and this is only the beginning of what we’ll build together.”

Powerbeats Fit positioning

Beats is positioning Powerbeats Fit as a performance-oriented audio product designed for creators, athletes and artists, aligning the product launch with a narrative centred on discipline, creativity and sustained ambition.
