ACKO's marketing team has given a memorable farewell to outgoing chief marketing officer Ashish Mishra with a Bollywood-inspired billboard installed in Bengaluru, where the digital insurer is headquartered.
Designed like a movie poster, the outdoor creative casts Mishra as "The Boss" and carries the message, "He came to change insurance. He changed us all." The billboard is also credited as "A film by ACKO Marketing Team," highlighting the team's tribute to its former leader.
The campaign gained attention after Shilipi Mishra, director of customer success at Plum and Ashish Mishra's sister, shared it on LinkedIn. Praising the gesture, she wrote that the billboard was a reflection of the impact Mishra had on the people he worked with.
"I've never seen a team go to such lengths for their leader, and that's what makes this so special. The billboard wasn't the story—it was simply proof of the impact he had on the people he worked with," she said. She also thanked Nitin Khanna and the ACKO marketing team for organising the farewell.
Responding to the post, Mishra expressed his appreciation for the tribute, writing, "This sweet gesture means a lot. Really touched with the kind of effort the team put in," while describing the marketing team as "amazing."
Mishra stepped down as ACKO's chief marketing officer earlier this month after nearly six years with the company. He has been succeeded by Nitin Khanna, who has been promoted from his previous role as vice president of marketing.
